In India, two more medals have come in wrestling. Divya Kakaran in women's 68kg category and Mohit Grewal in men's 125kg category won bronze medals. Divya defeated Tiger Lily Lemali of Tonga 2-0 (pinfall win) in the bronze medal match and Mohit defeated Aaron Johnson of Jamaica 6-0 in the bronze medal match. Both the players traveled to the bronze medal under repechage.
Divya also won a bronze medal in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, while this is Mohit's first medal at the world level.
Divya was defeated 11-0 by Nigeria's Blessing Oboruddu in the quarterfinals. After this, reaching the final of Blessing Oborududu, Divya got a chance to play the repechage round and she defeated Blandin Ngiri of Cameroon to qualify for the bronze medal bout. In the women's 68kg category, Blessing Oboruddu won gold, Canada's Linda Morris took silver and Divya, New Zealand's Tyla Ford won bronze.
Mohit had defeated Alexius of Cyprus 10-1 in the quarterfinals, but was defeated 12-2 by Amar Dhesi of Canada in the semifinals. Mohit then won the bronze medal match. In the men's 125kg category, Amar Dhesi won gold, Pakistan's Zaman Anwar took silver and Mohit, besides England's Mandhir Kunar won bronze.

This is India's eighth and ninth bronze medals in the Commonwealth Games 2022, taking the total number of medals to 26. In wrestling, it is India's 22nd and 23rd bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games and 107th and 108th overall.
